Sure is apple fanboy in here...
I bet if apple sold a bag of shit with their logo on it, you'd still buy it.

Which is more than I can say for any PC product. PC never tries anything new. And the fact that you are comparing a netbook to an ipad is ridiculous because the ipad isn't a computer. It's the missing link. So of course it doesn't have everything a computer has. It's not supposed to."

I'd like to bring to your attention, before you continue to make a fool of yourself, That "PC" is not now, nor will it ever be, any conceivable entity related to computers. There is no company called PC, there is no PC tech support, there is no PC Research and development department, there are no PC labeled products floating around out there. PC in fact stands for Personal Computer.

A PC is something you build yourself, or have someone with more knowledge build for you. You put in, what you want out. That fact, above all others is why a PC will trump a Mac every time. The fact is that competent users who use their computers, be it a netbook, laptop or desktop, for more than just showing off to people who can't (or wont) pay four times as much, WILL want USB, WILL want video out, and WILL want something like the iPad to exist so that the morons who buy it don't create a ridiculous demand for actual computers, thereby driving up the price.

A wise man once said, "A product that does nothing, and is marketed as such, is useless. But if it costs $1000+ and is sold by Steve Jobs, idiots will still buy it."

Oh and on a side note. Macs ARE good at graphic design. But only because the programs are built for windows.

i find macs are superior

i find macs are superior with graphic design and drafting while takin a course on it but i had a mac crash on me in class(yea, the $2,4ooo mac pro) kept at a cool classroom temperature decided fuck all my work and progress and it was all lost..a hdd crash but a crash none the less..ive never even heard of a pc erasing all ur shit..mine crashed but i culd still get the data from the hdd..macs look good garanteed but the windows 7 OS simply shits on mac snow leopard at appearance..macs are boring, Shitty gaming to top it off..i culd go on and on..PCs are pocket friendly, user friendly, and flexible towards a users desired tasks..a mac is a big ass downpayment on shiny metal with a apple on it and what u buy is what you get until ur tired of it.

You do realize that Apple

You do realize that Apple simply follows what Linux user build and use and also what ideas that software and hardware engineers have already come up with years ago. Nothing is original just a bunch of ideas that have been constantly recycled over the years not being used due to the factor of budgets and expensive technology. These ideas are then used when those ideas are cheap enough to be brought into the consumer market or until they gain a wide popularity by the masses.

By the way the main feature of OSX is that you can dual boot Windows XP and Vista. You could do that with a custom built PC when Windows XP first came out. But then again I am nitpicking here.

You obviously haven't used

You obviously haven't used either of these os's. Windows PC's are as good as you pay for them. Mac's are rediculously priced for what you can get on a PC for a fraction of the price. Also, Vista sucked. absolutely horrible OS. It crashed all the time, and generally didn't work, but 7 is 100 times better, not to mention XP which is by far the most popular and stable OS for YEARS! now 7 is out and is even more stable than xp. it's absolutely fantastic. you are ignorant.

just out of curiosity, why

just out of curiosity, why did you write up this giant comment that just says the same thing as everyone elses comments? you even pointed it out. like hey look what this guy said. now let me repeat it in a much longer drawn out manner.

"they are far more powerfull

"they are far more powerfull then a netbook"

Uh... where did you get that idea from? The clock speed of my netbook is twice as fast as the iPad's. The only reason it might seem to run slower is when it does that thing... what's it called again? oh yes, MULTITASKING. The reason Apple don't do multitasking is so it doesn't look like its running slowly with its fairly average processor. Which is fine until you decide running more than one thing at once might be more useful than looking flash.

Apple computers (i.e. iMac

Apple computers (i.e. iMac and Macbook) are good, the iPad is an overrated iPod Touch. A Microsoft PC generally sucks at all points, especially Windows 7. It's Vista with some new features.

Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

****I haven't read the most

****I haven't read the most recent posts on this thread. I just couldn't go on any longer w/o commenting so I apologize if I've repeated anything*****

You make wonderful points....but do you realize that you're paying $500 for an overgrown ipod touch and then more $$ for "extra" peripherals that come with netbooks within their full price?
I know, I know. The ipad isn't the same thing as a netbook....but I think the problem here, is that people are EXPECTING the ipad to BE like a netbook and are disappointed. Besides the whole mac vs. pc thing.
SJ is releasing products w/o finishing them and people are STILL buying them! That just shows how sheep-like his groupies are! Why do you think mac followers get so much crap?! Yes, some apple products are OK. I myself have an old gen of the ipod nano. But, personally, when I'm told to wait for a feature that is on almost every other comparable piece of technology today to be on the next gen of this shiny new product (ex: webcam)....nuh-uh. Now we have a problem.
I mean, you're paying $500 and then at least $30 for each extra peripheral which you would get each of with a cheap netbook. The picture says it all. It really isn't lying. You have to look at what you're getting for your money.
The only uses I can see for the ipad is listening to music, surfing the internet, reading ebooks, and using it as a calander....I'm not sure that just that is worth $500...

And did you even READ the other comments?? The ipad is NOT WIDESCREEN! I can't believe I'm having to repeat what others have already said! The ipad is a 4:3 ratio. For it to be widescreen it has to be 16:9. Therefore, the ipad IS NOT WIDESCREEN. Holy crap!

And why should we have to wait for a next gen version? Someone has again already said this, but generally, companies attempt to make a product the best it can be before releasing it. The fact that us consumers are told to wait for future generations before we got what we REALLY want, just goes to show that SJ wants as much $$ as possible. I'm not sure I'm cool with that.
